The Firewire Seaside & Beyond now in the insanely good Thunderbolt Red tech is the latest drool-inducing magic stick from Rob Machado and the Firewire team.
Rob had been interested in a 'long fish' since spending time with Skip Frye who showed him some of his fishes in the 7ft range. Rob's first foray into the' long-fish' was a stretched out Go Fish which worked but needed something extra, but his interest was definitely spiked. His next step was to give the incredibly popular Seaside quad-fish the same treatment; stretching it out and fine-tuning the rocker.
The Seaside & Beyond was born and very quickly became the board Rob never left home without. Rob has been riding his Seaside in pretty much anything from 1 foot beach breaks to barrelling reefs and all ports in-between. Rob's clean and concise quiver currently includes a 5'4 Seaside and a 7ft Seaside & Beyond!

This SS & B model is constructed using 'Thunderbolt Red' a 100% hand layup Xeon Fibreglass Lamination which delivers a competition weight and flex. Thunderbolt Red uses a Fused Cell EPS Foam Blank which incorporates a Carbon Fibre Multi-Component Flex Control System which replaces a traditional wooden stringer which along with the Xeon Fibreglass lamination delivers a familiar flex which will remain for the extended lifespan of these durable boards. Thunderbolt Red uses a 6 + 4oz fibreglass deck lamination with 6 + 2oz on the bottom. The Fused Cell EPS Foam Blank is wrapped in a Core Shield PVC Shell which affords flexible protection to the EPS core.

Forget the lifeless and corky EPS boards you might of heard about or even owned; these boards couldn't be further from the mass produced characterless Epoxy surfboards 'banged out' in the far east. These boards are 100% hand layups and finished to the very highest standard
